With so many from which to choose, it was hard to narrow it down to just one, but I finally settled this week on Charlie Rangel, Democrat Chairman of the House Ways and Means Committee (where he is in charge of writing tax law among other things). I have profiled his illegal activities in a previous newsletter, but it is time to mention his latest law-breaking before Eric Holder hears of it and kills the investigation.
This last week it was disclosed that Rangel failed to report $1.3 million in outside income on financial disclosure forms he filed between 2002 and 2006. He also failed to report a minor $3 million in various business transactions over the same period. Oh, and he also suddenly remembered $250K he had sitting in a bank account somewhere. We can expect to see Rangel reelected in a landslide.
