In the time-honored Liberal tradition of naming (and renaming if necessary) legislation as the exact opposite of its intent, Nancy Pelosi has now decided to rename the “public option” as either the “consumer option” or “competitive option”. We have seen these Orwellian name games countless times before — ie. The Employee Free Choice Act, The Fairness Doctrine — but as we have discussed here in the past, if it walks like a duck and quacks like a duck, it is Nationalized Healthcare.
